Re: Belial – most of the Judeo-xian demons were someone else’s god or goddess. They were big on demonizing others. Wait till you get to Job, which is where THE satan is introduced – and it’s not a name, but an angel ALLOWED to torment Job. Forget where Lucifer, “Son of the Morning Star” is, but it was apparently a reference to some opposing King.

The stone hit Goliath’s helmet just right, and it killed him.

@BionicDance Hey, flat is beautiful!
-
Cubits are a form of measurement where and individual starts from his/her elbow to the finger tips. Yep, one cubit is your elbow to the furthest edge of your longest finger, probably the middle one. A span is simply the measurement of your hand. It is measured from where the hand connects the wrist to the edge of the fingers. So if Goliath was 6 cubits, he was at least 9 feet tall. Wow!

I’d go to church if bionic dance was delivering the sermon. I like the way she reads it and explains it to us. Very good!
-
@SabreKitteh And Joey Lauren Adams, yes. Sometimes I miss those days, but since appearing on camera, my vids have REALLY taken off in viewership, and my message hasn’t changed, so… *pshrug* I guess it’s all good.
-
@BionicDance I remember those, and people saying you sounded like Jennifer Tilly.

If I had you reading me the bible when I was a kid rather than a pastor with an agenda to indoctrinate me, I might have skipped the part of my life trying to reconcile religion with science. Science eventually won, but it took a few years of my life unbrainwashing myself from religion.
-
@SabreKitteh True, true…though they’ve been commenting on my looks ever since I started putting myself in my vids about a year ago. Time was I only did flying text and voice-over…
-
@BionicDance Congratulations, you are now successful enough to have idiot trolls commenting on your looks. Still nowhere near The Young Turks and Ana Kasparian though.
-
@BionicDance I think you are sexy as is, Dance.
-
I’m so happy that you are reading this for me, goes off to bake cookies in your honor.
-
@ZeroAnnihilated Not really. I think it may be a final straw for me in tolerating the cult of hatred that Christianity ( esp Fundamentalists) propagate in the world. You are right though, these atheists need to stop just complaining and do something about Christianity. Its time for a revolution.
-
@216trixie lastly, if you appreciate the world better now that you don’t believe. Great! I’m very happy for you. The entire concept of life is to find happiness. Religion may be the answer for some, lack of such may be the answer for others. So be happy and let people find their happiness in their own way without bashing it.
-
@216trixie And what is this stranglehold you are talking about? Humanity has come a long way because of religion. You can bring up wars based on religion if you want but I don’t think you have merit. Humanity shares stories of war based on territory, jealousy and hate, religion was simply a tool used as an excuse. Yes, religion can be dangerous, but it still has it’s place in the world. You are no different than someone trying to ban handguns.
-
@216trixie You have your reasons for not believing. I’m not trying to persuade you otherwise. But what you are doing is still based on hatred. Religion may be a mind-fuck for some people. Uhmn… have you experienced life yet? Get used to it or get out. You thought about what waited after death because that’s what you allowed yourself to focus on. I don’t make decisions based on what God thinks of me, I make them based on what I think of myself. Guess what? Has nothing to do with an afterlife.
-
@216trixie most athiests that begin their argument about religion being a joke don’t share the same characteristic. Instead of moving on and allowing a believer to live how they want, they won’t shut up. On a side not, there’s a difference between someone saying “Have you ever thought about God/Jesus and what do you believe?” vs “Haha, you honestly believe in that?” Believers attempt to bring people hope. Athiests seem to only attempt to take it away. Furthermore…
-
@216trixie lol, so you’ve been a pain in the ass all your life. People who like to lead people to Jesus are just as annoying BUT I can appreciate the effort simply because it’s still based on their belief of leading you somewhere in a positive manner and to a place where people praise whatever god they wish. Most of the time, because they believe those souls are lost, but once the target states their position… it will either be a success or you move on. However,
